CUMBERLAND Jeffrey Lynn Storer departed this earthly life on Sunday, October 21, 2018, at the Western Maryland Medical Center at age 67.Jeff was born in Cumberland, Maryland to Robert Thomas and Mary Louise (Norton) Storer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, James Lawrence Stewart.Jeff was graduated from Allegany High School and Allegany Community College. He was the owner/operator of Storer Brothers Confectionary on Virginia Avenue, in his younger years, and was a counselor with the Allegany County Health Department. He enjoyed and loved his family, friends, and his hometown of Cumberland. For many years, Jeff could be met, several days a week, touring Baltimore Street, greeting residents and visitors. He constantly stressed the beauty and benefits that the city provided. He actively promoted medical transplant programs, and supported those donating/receiving this blessing.Jeff is survived by his daughter, Lauren Beth (husband Joseph S. "Joey") Zalewski; his grandchildren, Aaliyah Storer and Joseph & Lexis Zalewski; his brothers, J. Robert (wife Joyce) Storer, and James L. (wife Beverly) Stewart; sister, Susan Storer; and stepmother, Ruby (McAfee) Storer; nephews, Jeremy and Josiah Storer; nieces, Katherine "Kate" and Carolyn "Carly" Stewart; and great-nephew, Damion Storer.A Celebration of Life will be held in the Spring, when he loved being on the Mall, especially for Farmers' Market."May the angels lead you into paradise; may the saints receive you at your arrival and lead you to the holy city Jerusalem.
