Jeffrey Norman
Yoder
Sep 17, 1959 — Feb 5, 2025
Jeffrey Norman Yoder, 65, of Cresaptown, MD went home to be with the Lord on February 5, 2025.
He was born on September 17, 1959 in Cumberland, MD to the late Walter William and Phyllis L. Yoder.
Jeffrey attended Allegany High School where he was a devoted athlete. He played football #21, competed in wrestling, and ran track; then graduated with the class of 1978. Following high school, he joined the Local 489 Plumbers and Steamfitters where he worked as a pipefitter alongside his brothers. He spent the majority of his forty-two-year career working at the papermill where he worked until his retirement.
He achieved his lifelong dream of retiring early at the age of sixty to enjoy his many hobbies which included hunting, scouting, fishing, gardening, and treasure hunting at yard sales. His innate love for nature led him to a lifetime of adventure where he explored the vast wilderness and spent many nights sleeping in his 1988 F-150 "Big Blue", in the peaceful woods, and his beloved boat "The Time Machine". Above all else he was a family man at heart. He was greatly loved by his family, his LOH family, his friends, and community.
Surviving is his wife Sandra K. Yoder; two daughters, Betsey Jo Curry and husband Jack, Lindsey Dawn Yoder and fiancé Ryan; grandchild, Charlie Eugene Curry; siblings, Sherry Goldsworthy and late husband John, Tom Yoder and late wife Kathy, Mike Yoder and wife Leah, and Dave Yoder and wife Robin; lifelong best friend, Buddy Hillegas; and his beloved dog Jewley.
Jeff's viewing will be held on Tuesday, February 11th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A. 15205 McMullen Hwy SW, Cresaptown.
His funeral will be Wednesday, February 12th beginning at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Tim McGregor officiating; receiving will be one hour prior to the service.
