John Herman Kammauff Sr., 75, of Cresaptown passed away April 22, 2023 at his home with his family.

He was born in Cumberland on October 5, 1947 to the late William and Sarah (Ritchie) Kammauff, in addition to his parents he was proceeded in death by his three sisters Billie Jane Ramsey, Gertrude Morgan, and Beatrice Crider; and an infant son Michael Wayne Kammauff.

Herman attended Allegany High School. He worked as a metal fabricator with Potomac Metals in Mexico Farms. He also owned and operated Herman's Place Bar in Cresaptown. He was a member of the Cresaptown Eagles and Cresaptown Eagle Riders. Herman was known for and loved shooting skill-pool, loving animals, and riding motorcycles.

Surviving are his children, son Steve Yoder and wife Tina, son John Kammauff Jr. and wife Sally, son Billy Kammauff, daughter Malinda Darber and husband Chris, son Jeremy Rosenthal and wife Robyn; a special nephew, Bret Ramsey and his wife Judy; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and a very large extended family.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 25th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Scarpelli Funeral Home, 15205 McMullen Hwy SW, Cresaptown. A funeral service will immediately follow at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. Harold McClay officiating.

As per his wishes cremation will follow.
