CRESAPTOWN – John Robin Moore, 78, of Cumberland, passed away Sunday, January 21, 2024, at home.

Born April 29, 1945, in Morgantown, WV, he was the son of the late Fred and Martha (Hundley) Moore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Judith Brady Moore; and sister, Nancy Chewning.

John was a 1963 graduate of St. Albans High School, WV. He went on to earn his Master's degrees from Frostburg State University. After more than 30 years, he retired as Associate Dean of Computer Services from Allegany College of Maryland.

John was an active member of Boy Scout Troop 9, serving in various leadership roles for over 30 years. He was an avid Corvette enthusiast who often attended the 1-Lap of Kentucky Tour. John also enjoyed golfing, water-skiing, bicycling, and, most of all, spending time with his beloved grandson.

Surviving are his children, Krista Youngblood (Thomas) and Jonathan Moore (Sarah); grandson, Kyle Youngblood; cousins Sharon Goode and Mary Stewart; nephew, Christopher Chewning; and niece, Kelley Coffey.

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 15205 McMullen Hwy SW, Cresaptown, on Thursday, January 25, 2024, from 6 to 8pm.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday, January 26, at 11am with the Rev. Alison Peters officiating. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service.

Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
