LAVALE, MD --- John William "Bill" Norris, Jr, 82, of LaVale, passed away on August 16, 2023 at UPMC-MD.

Born May 16, 1941, Bill was the son of the late John William Norris, Sr. and Noreen Teter Hughes.

Bill graduated from Allegany High school with the class of 1959. He was a proud veteran, serving in the Air Force. Before his retirement, he worked with P.P.G. as a crane operator. Bill was a member of the Cresaptown Eagles as well as Piney Mountain Sportsmen Club. Bill was an avid hunter and fisher. Above all, he thoroughly enjoyed family get-togethers, such as pool parties and cook outs.

Surviving Bill is his wife, Nancy Norris; his children, Kimberly Lyden and Bill Norris (Lee), Keyser, WV; his grandchildren, Joseph (Morgan), Joshua (Justina), and Hunter (Anna); his great-grandchildren, Ariadine, Addigan, Kimberly, Alane, and Kennedi.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 19, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A. 15205 McMullen Hwy, Cresaptown. A funeral service will immediately follow beginning at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Bob Ryan officiating.
