John Victor Notarianni, 80, passed away on July 1, 2026 at UPMC Hospital in Cumberland, MD. Born on June 21, 1946 in Washington DC to the late Alfred Edward and Catherine (Roach) Notarianni. John was preceded in death by his son, Peter Matthew Notarianni; and sister, Edith "Nina" Carreiro.

John graduated from St. John's College High School in Washington, DC. He attended Villanova University in Pennsylvania for his Bachelor of Arts degree and the American University in Washington, D.C. where he obtained his Juris Doctor degree. John worked for many years in private practice, before accepting a position as an Assistant Commonwealth Attorney for the State of Virginia. John was a member of the Knights of Columbus and enjoyed spending time with his family.

John is survived by his loving wife, Judith (Herrlein) Notarianni; sons, John Michael Notarianni and Paul Joseph Notarianni and his wife, Crystal; dear grandchildren, Ethan James Notarianni, William Notarianni and Sarah Notarianni; and brother, Joseph Harty and his wife, Katie; as well as many friends and colleagues.

In accordance with his wishes, John will be cremated and a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 7th at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 201 N. Centre St., Cumberland, MD. OFM Cap. Stephen Fernandes will officiate. Interment will immediately follow in SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
