John Anthony Sullivan, Jr., 71, of Cumberland, passed away Thursday, September 4, 2025 at his home.

Born January 26, 1954, in Cumberland, he was a son of the late John Anthony Sullivan, Sr. and Wanda Annetta (Rizer) Dolly. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph W. Sullivan.

John was a graduate of Fort Hill High School. He went on to work as a heavy machinery welder and later as a custodian for the Board of Education.

John loved to deep sea fish, hunt, and cook. John was a hard worker, a friend to many, beloved son and brother, and always had a good story to tell.

Surviving are his sisters, Jennifer L. Yost and husband, Joseph and Brenda S. Francom; nephews, Barry L. and John A. Thomas; and nieces, Brooke and Sabrina Yost.

A graveside service will be conducted at Mt. Hermon Cemetery on Monday, September 8, 2025 at 1:00 pm.
