ANNAPOLIS Joyce Lucy Hansel, 90, formerly of Cumberland and presently living in Annapolis with her daughter, Janis L. Leese and husband Delbert, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at their home.Born in Bedford, PA, on December 19, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Cozy (Growden) Zembower. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond E. Hansel, and daughter, Jacalyn L. Hansel.Joyce was a graduate of Bedford High School. Following high school, she was employed as a window dresser at Rosembaum's Department Store. For most of her life, she was a homemaker and mother. Joyce was a very talented artist and seamstress. She enjoyed playing the piano, reading, quilting, and spending time with her family.In addition to her daughter, Janis, Joyce is also survived by three grandchildren, Kami Holthaus and husband Joseph, Pasadena, MD, Kourtney Boswell and husband Chuck, Severna Park, MD, and Michael Furman and wife Sara, Denton, MD; great grandchildren, Abigail, Cole, Olivia, Braeden, Raymond, Gabe, Savannah, and Zoey; sisters, Beatrice Sears, Charleston, WV, and Nona Sears, Cumberland; and brother, Clyde Zembower and wife Norma, Bedford, PA.Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Avenue, on Friday, July 1, 2016 from 1-2 P.M.
