CUMBERLAND - Judy Lynn (Breighner) Pendergast, 68, of Cumberland, passed away Friday, July 17, 2026, at UPMC - Western Maryland.

Born July 24, 1957, in Cumberland, she was a daughter of the late Richard and Mildred "Polly" (Young) Breighner.

Judy was a 1975 graduate of Fort Hill High School. She went on to be employed as a manager at CVS and REVCO in LaVale. Most of all, Judy enjoyed being around her grandchildren and family, though she also liked bingo and traveling on cruises. Shopping with her mother and sisters during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays brought her joy as well.

She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, David E. Pendergast; children, Danny L. May and wife, Shelley, and Amy L. Seib and husband, Rob; grandchildren, Danny L. May, II and wife, Addi, Gage M. May and Jessica Vognetz, Jace C. May and Macie McKinley, Kayla R. Schilawski and husband, Cody, Kaden N. Watts, and Khloe R. Watts; great-grandchildren, Eliya J. and Dane; sisters, Delores Miller and husband, Fred, Patricia Gordon and husband, Jim, Cindy VanMeter and husband, Bob, and Ellen Wilt and husband, Joel; and brother, Richard Breighner. Judy is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In accordance with her wishes, Judy will be cremated, and there will be no visitation nor funeral services.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
