CUMBERLAND – Karen L. Robertson, 71, of Cumberland, passed away on August 15, 2024, at UPMC Western Maryland.

Born June 28, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Curtis Helmick and Nellie (Landis) Helmick.

Karen attended Central Assembly of God and continued to watch at home even after her health prevented her from attending. Karen worked in the business office at the Thomas B. Finan Center for nearly 20 years and then went on to provide customer service for Terminix International. Karen's favorite job she ever had was that of being a mother and grandma.

Over the years, she enjoyed couponing, planning family vacations, decorating for the holidays, lovingly bickering with her husband, and always being the one to lend an ear for every problem or story we had.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Mike, as well as her sons, Adam and wife Cassie, and Matthew and wife Jennifer. She is also survived by her granddaughters who were her pride and joy, Eliza, Audrey, Hannah, and Sara.

The family would like to thank UPMC Western Maryland and Allegany Health Nursing and Rehab for the care provided over the past months.

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Avenue, Cumberland, MD on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 from 12 to 1pm. A funeral service will immediately follow at 1pm with Pastor Doug Seaman officiating. Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
