Rawlings—Kenneth Martin Hout, 72, of Rawlings, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Thursday, February 27, 2025.

Born in Long Island, New York, he was the son of the late Lloyd Hout and Ella (Goble) Hout. In addition to his parents, he preceded in death by his sister, Diane Greene.

Ken graduated from Deer Park High School in Long Island, NY. Following high school, Ken served his country in the United States Navy. After being discharged, he was an electrician working in Cumberland for Microdyne Corporation. A people-person, Ken ended his working career as a Geriatric Nursing Assistant.

Ken was a member of the Rawlings and Cresaptown Volunteer Fire Companies. He was also a member of the LaVale Assembly of God Church.

Ken is survived by his wife of 36 years, Debra (Plummer) Hout; sisters, Barbara Thomas, Carol Kosina and Phyllis Hout; brother, Paul Hout. Ken is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 15205 McMullen Hwy SW, Cresaptown, on Saturday, March 1, 2025 from 11 A.M. until 1 P.M. at which time the funeral service will be conducted by Rev. Martin Lease. Burial will take place in Frostburg Memorial Park. Military honors will be accorded by Ft. Cumberland Post 13 Honor Guard.
