CUMBERLAND- Kenneth Wade "Ken" Kinser, 68, of Cumberland, passed away on Tuesday August 23, 2016 at home.Born January 28, 1948 in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Chester W. and Marie L. (Twigg) Kinser. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Donna Kinser.Ken was a veteran of the United States Army, served in the Vietnam Era, and was a proud supporter of the Wounded Warrior Project. Ken loved old cars, music, action movies, and watching football especially the Pittsburgh Steelers. Above all, he loved to spend time with his grandchildren.Surviving are his special friend, Linda Winebrinner; daughter, Melissa Kinser of Wiley Ford, WVa; one son, Kenneth D. Kinser and wife April L. of Ridgeley WVa; step-son, Christopher Wills, son of the late Donna Wills; a brother, Robert L. Kinser and wife Debra of Cumberland; and two grandchildren, Logan Kinser and Landen Kinser.Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A. 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Thursday, August 25 from 5 to 8 p.m.A Funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday, August 26 at 10:00 a.m. with the Reverend Richard Jewell officiating.Interment will be in the Maryland State Veteran's Cemetery, Rocky Gap.Military Honors will be accorded by the Post 13 Veteran's Honor Guard.The family extends their appreciation to all the Hospice and Care Nurses that helped Ken.Condolences for the family may be left at www.ScarpelliFH.com
