Kenneth G. Lepley, Sr., 86, of Cumberland, MD passed away unexpectedly at his home September 7, 2026.

He was born October 11, 1939 in Cumberland to the late George and Naomi Lepley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mona Lepley; daughters, Michele (Lepley) Buser and Lisa Algieri; and a sister, Mildred Wageley.

Kenneth enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp at the age of 17 with the permission of his parents; and was a part of the peace keeping landing force in Beirut, Lebanon in 1958. His patriotism and love of the USA was a major part of his life. After serving his country he then had a career as a long haul truck driver until his retirement.

He was great working with his hands and loved restoring old cars and carpentry. With his family and friends he loved going camping, fishing, and bicycling. Kenneth was a fan of the Baltimore Ravens and Orioles.

Surviving him are his four children, Kenneth G. Lepley, Jr. (Pam), Patrick E. Lepley, Lucinda (Lepley) Bradshaw, and Keli Duckworth (Wayne); two sisters, Audrey Sisk and Gail Cross (Richard); seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; his friend and mother of his children, Nellie Fryer; a large extended family including many nieces and nephews; many friends; and his dog, Jake.

In accordance with his wishes he was cremated.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 10th from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave, Cumberland. A memorial service will immediately follow, beginning at 1:00pm with Rev. Dr. Paul Demers officiating.

Military honors will be accorded by the American Legion Post 13 Veterans Honor Guard.

Inurnment will be in the MD Veterans Cemetery at Rocky Gap, Flintstone, MD with his wife Mona.

In lieu flowers memorial contributions are asked to be directed to his favorite charities The Wounded Warrior Project and Tunnels to Towers Foundation.
