Kevin Lee Hefner, 40, of Cumberland went to his heavenly home Monday, January 15, 2024 at UPMC Western Maryland after a brief illness.

He was born May 7, 1983 in Cumberland to Teresa (Hefner) Robeson. Proceeding him in death was his step-dad Connell Robeson; grandparents Joe and Edna Mae Hefner; an uncle, Larry Hefner; and his fur baby Zooey.

Kevin graduated from Allegany High School in the class of 2001. He then worked as a janitor at the Country Club Mall in LaVale. Kevin attended Davis Memorial UMC and loved helping make their apple butter. He enjoyed coin collecting and making very large building models with Legos. Above all he loved taking care of animals, especially his dog Dallas, who he treated to fine dining often.

Surviving is his mother Teresa Robeson; his sister, Sarahlucille "Lucy" Robeson and her partner Emily Weller; an aunt Kathy Hefner; a beloved nephew who he loved spending time with, Ezra Carder; cousins, Russell Ryan and wife Amber, and their children Russell Dennis and Waylon, Edna Ryan-Hermann and husband Derek, Samantha Hefner, a special cousin, who he loved and would do anything for, Edna Wright; and very large extended family.

In accordance with his wishes he was cremated.

A memorial service, with Pastor Rob Pearson officiating, will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 27th at Davis Memorial Methodist Church, 14300 Uhl Hwy, Cumberland, MD, friends will be received one hour prior to service.
