Kim Sue (Merrill) Pannone, 69, passed away Sunday, February 8, 2026, at UPMC Western Maryland Hospital.

She was born on New Year's Day, January 1, 1957. She was the daughter of Lex Merrill and Dolores (Cheney) Merrill. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, John Merrill, Jim Merrill, and Walter Merrill.

Kim worked for many years as a sign language interpreter for the Allegany County School System. She enjoyed seeing her students learn and grow and kept in touch with many of them. A few students she followed as an interpreter from elementary school through college.

She also worked for some time as a veterinary technician. Kim loved dogs and for some time was a trainer, as well as a breeder, of Golden Retrievers and Vizslas. She also helped to train service dogs for Canine Companions for Independence.

In her free time she enjoyed reading and spending time with her friends and family. She was a devout Catholic and liked reading about the history of the Catholic Church and Saints.

Kim is survived by her son, Albert Pannone; her siblings, Sandy, Joan, Deborah, Lex, and Bobby; and three loving grandchildren.

In accordance with her wishes, Kim will be cremated, and no services will be held.
