CRESAPTOWN – Kimberly Dawn Whitehair, 61, of Cresaptown, passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at home.

Born October 19, 1963, in Kingwood, WV, she was a daughter of Ellen Rae (Kelly) Mayne and the late Hugh Mayne. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Whitehair; sister, Diane Lynn Riley; niece, Amanda Riley; and her beloved dogs, Dega and Archie.

Kim was most recently employed at Northrop Grumman where she made many friends. She had previously worked at American Woodmark and Hunter Douglas.

She was a homebody who enjoyed canning and baking pies, as well as spending time with family and her dogs. She went camping every New Year.

Kim leaves behind, in addition to her mother, her husband, Earl Wayne Lantz; son, Jon Whitehair and wife Rebecca; stepchildren, Deven Lantz and girlfriend Bethany, Madison Lantz and boyfriend Dalton, and Ivy Weir; grandchildren, Hunter, Payson, and Viola; step-grandchildren, River, Harley, Jaden, and Zacharias; brothers, Clint Mayne and wife Anna, and Rodney Mayne and wife Lisa; many nieces and nephews; dog, Bobo; special friends, Sam, Kim, Joe, and Julie; lifelong friends, Tammy and Lynn; and her numerous friends at Northrop Grumman.

In accordance with her wishes, Kim will be cremated.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
