Flintstone – Krista Sue Shambaugh, 53, of Flintstone, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2024 peacefully at her home.

Born October 6, 1970, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of Jerri Wolford and the late Richard Shambaugh. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Ovey and Olivia Shambaugh; and maternal grandparents, Helen Peer, Wallace and Marilyn Wolford.

She graduated from Potomac High School in Woodbridge, VA, and then went on to cosmetology school in Ohio. She then worked as a licensed beautician at Regis at the Country Club Mall, LaVale, MD.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her step-father, Chick Wolford; her fiancé, Rob Tappia; a sister, Shari Trenum and husband, Roger; two brothers, Douglas Shambaugh and wife, Karen, Jeffrey Shambaugh; nieces and nephews (whom she considered her children), Andy Wooton (Brittany), Kelsie Shambaugh (Jeremy), Haley Lee (Kyle), JD Shambaugh, Tiaria Heward (Billy); and a large extended family including many special great nieces and nephews.

In accordance with her wishes, she will be cremated.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, March 23, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave, Cumberland. A memorial service will immediately follow beginning at 1:00 p.m. with Chaplain Joshua Boyd officiating.
