RIDGELEY, WV – Beloved husband, dad, and grampy, Larry Chadwin Taylor, 73, of Ridgeley, WV, died Sunday, March 19, 2023. He was the husband of Pamela Loan Taylor. They were high school sweethearts and married for 52 years.

Larry was born July 9, 1949, in Fitchburg, MA, a son of the late Chadwin Eugene and Ora Ganelle Taylor. He was preceded in death by his sister, Kay Ann in 1948. In 1963, after the death of his parents, Larry lived with his aunt and uncle, the late Beatrice and Earl Waddell in Covington, VA.

He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Chad Andrew and Rebecca Taylor; grandsons, Colton Taylor and wife, Tabi, Darren Taylor, Aiyden Taylor; and granddaughter, Emilia Bostaph. Also surviving are an uncle and aunt, Barton and Patricia Soule.

Larry graduated in 1968 from Covington High School. He earned his degree from Dabney S. Lancaster Community College, and attended trade school to become an electrician. He retired from CSXT in 2009 after 33 years of service.

Larry was a member of the Wesley Chapel Church. He was truly a good family man, being involved in all the activities of his loved ones. He attended their sports, band, and school events. He enjoyed bowling with his son and watching his grandsons bowl. He liked being a "street rodder" as a member of Western Maryland Street Rod Association.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 25, 2023, at 2pm in Wesley Chapel, Short Gap, WV.
