BOWLING GREEN – Le'Etta P. (Durr) Hawn, 81, passed through Heaven's Gates and into the hands of God and was reunited with her life partner, Harold "Hallie" Hawn; daughter, Tammy Wright; son, Robert Dale Hawn; and granddaughter, Stephanie Guyer on Tuesday, May 9, 2023.

Born June 16, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Viola J. (Housel) Durr and George S. Durr. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Elmer and George Durr; sister, Evelyn (Durr) Nicholson.

She was a 1959 graduate of Beall High School and a 1982 graduate of Allegany Community College. She was a registered nurse who worked for 37 years through Western Maryland Health System.

Le'Etta loved most of all her family and church family. She also loved traveling – first with her husband, then with her daughter, Terri Hawn Rogers. She was a member of Frostburg Church of the Brethren and the Frostburg Covenant Brethren Church.

Le'Etta is survived by her loving and helpful daughter, Terri Hawn Rogers, of Martinsburg, WV and son-in-law, Jeff Rogers; grandchildren, Shawn M. Guyer, Crystal Hawn Conrad, and Logan Hawn. Also surviving are nine great grandchildren; brother, Lawrence Durr; sisters, Kathleen (Durr) Berg, Janet (Durr) Edmiston, and Violet (Durr) Lyons.

A special thank you to some special people: Janet Edmiston (sister), thank you for everything you did for me. I don't know what I would have done without you. God bless you. Thank you also to son-in-law, Jeff Rogers; nephew, Charles Edmiston, Jr.; niece, Kim Rotruck; niece, Donna Lemmert; nephew, Dennis Durr; JoAnn and Keith Harmon; Misty and Bob Robertson; Shelly Myers Hoffman; and especially Pastor Mark and Alicia Durst and my church family.

In accordance with her wishes, she will be cremated.

A memorial service will be held at the Frostburg Church of the Brethren on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at 2pm with the Rev. Mark Durst officiating.
