Linda Marie (Davis) Brode returned home to our Heavenly Father on April 4, 2025.
Born in Cumberland, MD, Allegany County, August 11, 1949, she was the daughter of Ronald Leroy Davis I and the late LaVada Elizabeth Ruth Ganoe Davis. Preceding her in death was her husband of 41 years, William Robert Brode; and a brother, Ronald Leroy Davis II.
Linda was a 1967 graduate of Fort Hill High School.
Linda was a cancer survivor.
She was a very talented ceramics artist, holding classes at their home on Cash Valley Road. She was always the life of the party. She loved throwing parties, and making everyone feel included. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, holding many callings including Primary, Young Women's, Girls' Camp, Seminary and Relief Society.
She worked at the Dairy Queen in LaVale before her children were born. She also worked at DSS and was a caregiver for several years in Myrtle Beach, SC.
She is survived by her two children, Robert Johnathan Brode (Hope) and Elizabeth Ann Brode; two granddaughters, who were the light of her life, Ella and Chandler; brother, Thomas Davis (Wilma); sisters, Susie Clawson (Mark) and Karen Krogel; and several nieces and nephews. She had some special friends who meant a lot to her, Gayle Anderson, Carolyn Gibb and daughter Marchel, Jane and Wayne Belloff, Carolyn Crump, Paul and Penny Haberlien, and Doug and Dee Reinieke. She also leaves behind special sister-in-law, Brenda Brode.
The family would like to thank the staff at Mountain City Nursing and Rehab Center in Frostburg, MD for the care given to Linda, as well as Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2025 from 1-3 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 12205 Gramlich Rd SW, LaVale, MD. Allen Stevens will be officiating.
