Jan 6, 1948 — Oct 11, 2024
LAVALE – Linda Jane DeVore-Koch, 76, of LaVale, passed away Friday, October 11, 2024, at home.
Born January 6, 1948, in Cumberland, she was a daughter of the late Melvin "Frank" Cromwell Wigfield and Gladys (Bradford) Wigfield. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her first husband, Ronald Elwood DeVore.
Linda was a graduate of Fort Hill High School, Class of 1966. She was a part of many churches and ministries where she was always willing to volunteer and help in any way. Bethel Assembly of God in Oldtown, MD, Central Assembly of God, and Davis Memorial Methodist Church were all recipients of her goodwill. She looked forward every year to apple butter-making season at Davis Memorial, and she always enjoyed helping with Easter eggs at Central Assembly.
Linda leaves behind her loving husband, Albert F. Koch; children, Thomas Wayne DeVore (Silvia) and Christie Lynn Kelly (Neil); grandchildren, Mariah Grace Kelly, Makenzie Rose Kelly, Neil Eric Kelly II, Shane Tyler DeVore, Jazlin Bailey DeVore, Lorelai Pleasant DeVore; stepchildren, Krista Brode (Rick), Kimberly Kesner (Jamie), Kelley DeVore (Bob), Karrie Ziler (Adam), Kristi Koch; 15 step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; sister, Margaret "Elaine" Wigfield Pennington; and brother, Dennis L. Wigfield. Linda had so many friends, relatives, and connections across so many states it would be like counting sand or the stars. She was extremely loved by so many that we could not even begin to list them all.
In accordance with her wishes, Linda was cremated.
