ELLERSLIE - Linda Patricia Meeks, 74, passed away Monday, April 25, 2016 at her home in Ellerslie, MD. She was born March 17, 1942 in Illinois to the late Mary Eileen (Griffith ) Blank & Joseph Blank. In addition to her parents Linda was also preceded in death by her loving husband Bruce W. Meeks Sr. She is the 8th child out of 9 whom is also predeceased by her siblings Doris Jean Claypool, Gordon Blank, Robert Blank, Helen Harkins, George Blank, Michael David Blank, Marguerite Schmidt.Linda was a Mother, Sister, Daughter, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Wife and Friend. She enjoyed the outdoors and had the love for wild animals. Any Chance she had she would be feeding stray animals especially Raccoons, Fox's, Birds, and so on. Linda was a very Strong Woman. She has taught many young women how to be strong and stand up for themselves just how she was. Her family will never forget her. She will be missed very dearly. She is now reunited with her husband and family.Linda is survived by Sister Barbara Bieworth; children James Morris, Richard and Sandra Morris, Sue Morris, Bruce and Diana Meeks, Timothy and Julie Meeks, Candi Meeks; Grand Children William Morris, Amanda Chase, David Wojciechowski, Willow Morris, Samantha Reinhofer, Fabian Peralta, April Morris, Amanda Brantley, David Meeks, Michael Meeks, Brandon Meeks, Brittany Meeks, Tiffany Barb, Jodie Meeks, Nickie Stotler, Walter Groves, Donovan Lee, Derek Lee, and Twenty Five Great Grandchildren.Friends and family will be received Saturday, April 30th from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A. 108 Virginia Avenue, Cumberland.
