CRESAPTOWN – Londa R. (Davis) Bowman, 98, of Cresaptown, passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at UPMC Mercy in Pittsburgh, PA.
Born June 11, 1923, in Elk, WV, she was the daughter of the late Robert M. Davis and Rosie Bell Bright. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon H. "Mike" Bowman; grandson, Michael A. Bowman; brothers, Herbert Davis, Howard Davis, Van Davis, Calvin Bright, Nathan Bright, and Ben Bright; sisters, Genevieve Pienkosky, Virginia Shupp, and Hallena Dietz.
Mrs. Bowman was a graduate of Parsons High School. She went on to work in the housekeeping department of Sacred Heart Hospital. Mrs. Bowman was a Baptist by faith, having attended several churches in her lifetime. She truly lived her life for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and adored spending time with her family.
Surviving are her daughter, Linda Bowman, Cumberland; son, Michael Bowman and wife, Terry, Bel Air; grandchildren, Michael P. and Krista Bowman, Bel Air; great-grandchildren, Octaviah and Xavier Bowman, and Kamden and Bailey Alburtis; sisters, Eva Moore and Ellen Zukas; special niece, Joanna Cessna; and numerous nieces and nephews.
At her request her body will be cremated.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
