GREENSPRING, WV – Loretta A. (Troutman) Stickley, 82, passed away Thursday, September 21, 2023, at Peace Healthcare, Oakland, MD. She was a long time resident of Cumberland, and has lived with her daughter and son-in-law for the past three years in Greenspring, WV.

Born September 3, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Rose (Fantan) Troutman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Catherine Klavuhn; and brothers, Kenneth Troutman and Richard Troutman.

Loretta was a graduate of Allegany High School, 1960. She worked as a librarian, homemaker, and mother. She shared a 36 year marriage with her ex-husband Charles Stickley. She was also a caregiver; helping shut-in people with their daily needs. She enjoyed league bowling, listening and dancing to music, and going to social events with friends. She especially loved visiting and going to church with her very special friend, Frankie Durst.

Loretta is survived by her daughter, Pamela Edmands and husband, Jim, Green Spring, WV; son, Kevin Stickley and wife, Edith, Yokosuka, Japan; two grandchildren that she adored, Ivy Kay and Kenneth; sister, Helen Crabtree, Chincoteague, VA; and brother, Charles (Chuck) Troutman and wife, Naomi, Cumberland, MD; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In accordance with her wishes, Loretta's body will be cremated.

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave, Cumberland, on Thursday, September 28, 2023, from 3 to 5. A memorial service will immediately follow at 5.

Inurnment will be in Fort Ashby Cemetery.
