Cumberland—Lovie Elizabeth Twigg, 86, of Cumberland, passed away on Monday July 29, 2024, at the Cumberland Healthcare Center.

Born in Martinsburg, WV, on July 22, 1938, she was the daughter of the late William and Marietta (Deter) Kimes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rodney James Twigg, and four sisters.

Lovie was a housewife who enjoyed playing bingo, caring for her cats, and reading the Bible. She graduated from Fort Hill High School.

Lovie is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Avenue, on Sunday, August 4, 2024 from 1-3 P.M.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday, August 5, 2024 at 11 A.M.

Burial will take place in Sunset Memorial Park.

In lieu of sending flowers, those who would like to honor Lovie's memory may make contributions toward her funeral expenses in care of the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Avenue, Cumberland, MD 21502.
