Margaret Ann Hudson, 76, of Cumberland passed away on February 23, 2024 at her home with her husband standing faithfully at her side.

She was born in Cumberland on September 23, 1947 to the late Raphael and Eula (Liller) Firlie. In addition to her parents she was proceeded in death by her brother, Joseph Firlie.

Margy attended St. Mary's church and graduated from Ursuline Academy in 1965. She worked at the Bon-Ton and later at CBIZ before retiring in 2016.

Margy's whole life revolved around her family, whether it was taking a vacation to the beach, family dinner every Sunday, or spending time with her grandchildren. She liked to keep her "traditions" alive, and she kept meticulous list to be sure nothing was forgotten.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, James Walter Hudson; her children, Scott Hudson of Cumberland; Julie Tice and fiancé Jason Lint of Fort Ashby, WV; a sister, Mary Sue Drummond and husband Richard of Clarksburg, WV; a sister-in-law, Grace Firlie of Cumberland; three grandchildren, Harrison, Maximus, and Annabelle; and a much loved extended family.

Friends and family will be received Sunday, March 3rd from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A. 108 Virginia Ave, Cumberland. A Christian Wake will be held beginning at 3:30 p.m..

Mass of the Christian Burial will be held Monday, March 4th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 300 E Oldtown Rd, Cumberland.

Internment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Cumberland.
