Cumberland,MD- Marjorie I. Crites, 100, of Cumberland passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at Egle Assisted Living.

Born April 28, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Leora (Felker) Beal. She was also preceded in death by her husband Robert L. Crites and her grandson Dale Rotruck.

Marjorie was a nurse, retired from Memorial Hospital. She loved playing BINGO, eating ice cream and chocolate chip cookies. She was an active member of Centre St. United Methodist Church, and then New Covenant Church once United Methodist closed. She enjoyed going to church on Sundays with her sister, Pat. Above all she loved her family and the time she spent with them.

She is survived by her daughter Charlotte Brinsfield and husband Brian of Cumberland, her son Robert W. Crites and wife Kristy of Clear Spring. Her grandchildren Tricia Plummer and partner David Lauder of Ft. Ashby, Erica Alkire and husband Zack of Cumberland. Her great grandchildren Paige Plummer of Fort Ashby, Ellis Alkire and Zyler Alkire of Cumberland. And her sisters Patricia Beal of Cumberland and Norma Phillips of Ashtabula,OH.
