Mary Elizabeth Birmingham, 77, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2025 at Devlin Manor Nursing Home. Born on August 27, 1948 in Cumberland, MD, Mary was the loving daughter to the late, Eugene and Kathleen Birmingham. She was proceeded in death by her brothers, Bobby, Tommy, and Mike Birmingham.

Mary graduated from Allegany High School and moved to the Washington, DC area, where she lived for 30 plus years. She pursued many different careers during her time in the Washington Metro area, but became one of the first female Journeyman meat cutters for Giant Foods, where she worked until her retirement. Mary was an avid fan of the Washington Redskins and enjoyed working in her yard, maintaining her own home, fishing and crabbing.

Mary is survived by her sister in law, Vada Birmingham; several very special friends and her faithful companion, Chloe.

Per Mary's wishes she will be cremated and there will be no services. In lieu of flowers please feel free to make a donation in Mary's memory to your local ASPCA or Wounded Warriors Foundation.
