Cumberland Mary Ellen Crowfis Pettitt, 75, of Cumberland, passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at her home.Born in Cumberland, MD on November 5, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Hilda (Harmon) and Thomas Crowfis. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her son, James Yates.Mary was a graduate of Fort Hill High School, class of 1960. Following high school, Mary was employed by several local markets.Mary is survived by her children, JoAnn Kamauf, Manassas, VA, and Carol Yates, LaVale; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Thomas Crowfis, Jr. and John Crowfis, and sister, Hazel Crawford.At Mary's request, she will be cremated, and her services will be private.
