Frostburg – Melinda K. Cook, 55, of Frostburg, passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at UPMC – WM.

Born March 22, 1969, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Cook, Sr. and Joyce Kay (Simmons) Cook. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, Ronald L. and Robert Lee Cook, Jr.

Melinda was a graduate of South Penn School. She enjoyed music and singing in church. She was an active member of God's Ark of Safety Church. She liked to color and play games with her friends, especially BINGO. She attended Willow Creek Day Care.

Melinda is survived by her brother, Paul Cook and their dog Daisy, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at God's Ark of Safety, 18606 Cherry Lane, Frostburg, MD on Tuesday October 22 from 2:00 until 4:00 pm. A funeral service will be there on Wednesday, October 23 at 11:00 am, with Pastor Everett Spence officiating.

Interment will follow in Abe Cemetery.
