Michael R. Bucklew, 68, of Cumberland, MD passed away October 29, 2025 at UPMC Western Maryland.

He was born July 1, 1957 in Cumberland to the late Roscoe and M. Kate Bucklew. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his uncle and aunt, Ed and Emmy Williams; his best friends, John Albright, Dale Wright; and his best dog friend, Charlie.

Mike graduated from Fort Hill High School. He worked at Schmidt Baking Co. and Bayliner Boats until both of their closures. Following he had a career in maintenance with the Maryland Park Service at Rocky Gap State Park.

He was a lifetime member of the Cumberland Outdoor Club. He was always outside and especially riding four-wheelers and going hunting. He loved spending time with his grandson, and taking him to get candy bars every Friday.

Surviving are his daughters, Megan Funk and husband Dalton, Ashley Bucklew and fiancé Cory; his bonus son, Timmy Brown and wife Ashlee; his special friend, Betty Brown; grandchildren, Gatlin, Jaxon, Riley, Wilder; bonus grandsons, Hunter and Braxton; cousins, Linda Keebaugh and husband Ted, Jean Warren and husband Jeff; best friend, Glen Smith.

Viewing will be Thursday, November 6th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A. 108 Virginia Ave, Cumberland. A funeral service will immediately follow at 7:00 p.m. with Father Mark Carter, OFM Cap, officiating.
