CUMBERLAND Mildred V. "Millie" Deter, 94, of Cumberland, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 2, 2019, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.Born on December 11, 1924, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late William and Pansy (Shell) Hughes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Earl Robinette and Carl Robinette.Millie was a 1943 graduate of Fort Hill High School. She worked 29 years for the Kelly Springfield Tire Company.She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Charles H. Deter; her three children, Donna Kay Tardiff, Laguna Niguel, CA, William D. Moon, Jr., Cumberland, and Judith A. Carnell, Glen Burnie, MD; grandchildren, William D. Moon, III, Tonya Grove, Tambrea Gaba, Brenda Carnell, Ricky Carnell, Craig Carnell, Kimberly Terrafranca, Michael D. Kisella, and Kristan Zachary Moon; 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.Family and friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Avenue, Cumberland, on Wednesday, March 6, 2019, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.Funeral services will immediately follow visitation at the funeral home at 1 p.m. with Rev.
