Obituary

Myrtle Pearl Robinette, 91, of Cumberland, passed away June 27, 2024 at Peace Healthcare at Lions Center.

Born on June 18, 1933, in Beans Cove, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Bessie (Heavener) Ruby. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Robinette; a daughter, Linda Propst; a grandson, Jeremy Moffett; and all of her brothers, Paul, John, Arnold, and Grant.

Myrtle was a member of Mt. Tabor United Methodist and the Red Hatters Club. She loved maintaining a home for her family and spending time with her family and friends. When she was able, she loved watching birds, baking, cooking, and shopping.

Surviving is her daughter, Bonnie E. Deurr and husband Terry; grandchild, Jessica E. Hull and fiancé Bobby Portmess; great grandchildren, Lilly Hull and Lucas Hull; many nieces and nephews; a very special niece, Diane Twigg; a very special friend, Tina Irons; a large extended family; and her cat, Kitty.

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 2, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave, Cumberland. A funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Charlie Riggleman officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Tabor Cemetery, Spring Gap.

The family would like to extend a special thank-you to everyone involved with her care over the many years at the Lions Center.
