Nancy Ellen (Pumilia) Cartino, passed away on October 8, 2026 at UPMC Western, MD. She was born on September 13, 1953, in Long Island, NY, to the late Phillip and Evelyn (Potter) Pumilia.

Nancy graduated from Lawrence High School in Cedarhust, New York. After graduation, Nancy took several trade classes, which led to her lifelong career as a secretary in numerous fields; including a 20-year position in the real estate field and many years in metal manufacturing at AMM Corp. Nancy loved crafting, including: knitting, crocheting, cross-stitching and sewing, which eventually led to a part time job at JoAnn Fabrics in LaVale, MD. Her love of dogs, was evident, as she had adopted many over her lifetime. Above all else, Nancy loved her husband and best friend, John.

Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, John Emil Cartino; dear friends, Candace Pryor, Sandy and Jason Arnold, and many other friends and co-workers she made along the way. She is also survived by her furry friends, Sammy, Waddles and Company.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Nancy's name to the Allegany County Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 566, Cumberland, MD 21501-0566.

A private graveside burial will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery.
