Nancy Ann Reinhart (Blauch), 85, passed away peacefully and was ushered into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 3, 2023 at UPMC in Cumberland, MD.
Nancy was born on May 5, 1938 in Cumberland, MD to her parents, Ralph and Edna Blauch. Nancy was a graduate of Allegany High School and Catherman's Business School in Cumberland, MD.
A Special thank you to the gracious Doctor and nursing staff in the ICU who went above and beyond in their care to make her comfortable in her final hours. Chaplains Bruce McBride and Rusty Kitzmiller, her adopted sons, ministered to her and prayed with her, proudly calling her Mom.
She is survived by her faithful husband of 66 years, Gene Reinhart of Lavale, MD; their sons, Rick Reinhart of Cumberland, MD, Brad Reinhart of Lavale, MD and Tod Reinhart and (Felicia) of Dayton, OH; grandchildren: Terrin Reinhart, Richard Reinhart, Gemini, Brooke, Andie Reinhart, Nathan Reinhart, Allie Jones and 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Kay Grubb of Norton, OH, Jackie and her husband Merlin Deputy of Rockingham, VA.
Nancy spent her last two years in a nursing home, Sterling Care in Frostburg, MD from November 3, 2021 to November 3, 2023 where she was tended to by an angelic nursing staff. The entire staff was so accommodating and worked hard to care for her and make her comfortable. Her Beloved roommates: Ina, Irma, Glenda, Judy and Rosemary. She made many friends who became Family in her new home away from home.
Prior to this her place of residence had been in Lavale, MD, where she and her husband Gene opened their home and hosted missionaries, pastors, Bible study Care Groups, family and friends.
She worked many years as an Office Manager including the last ten years with her husband Gene's All State Insurance Agency on National Highway in Lavale, MD. Nancy enjoyed outstanding health as she never missed a day of work in over 30 years.
Nancy loved to serve in her community and church. She served as an Awana leader, Vacation Bible School teacher, Youth leader, Banquet Facilitator and Choir member. Nancy loved music and singing and was gifted with a beautiful voice as she often sang solos in church. The church she called home was Old Furnace Covenant Church of the Brethren in Ridgeley, WV.
There will be a Celebration of Life Memorial Service held at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A. in Cresaptown, MD. The service will be on Saturday, November 11, 2023. Visitation will be from 12:00 - 2:00 with the service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Bruce McBride will be presiding with pastors Dave Sutton, Phillip Matthews and Dave Hill in assistance.
