"Together Again"

FORT ASHBY, WV – Nellie L. (VanMeter) Hott, 90, of Fort Ashby, WV, died Sunday, January 7, 2024, at Complete Care at Dawnview.

Born on December 15, 1933, she was the daughter of the late James and Carrie (Stump) VanMeter. Nellie was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, S.E. "Gene" Hott; son-in-law, Bob Leatherman.

Surviving are her children, Karen Leatherman, Keith Hott (Jill), Kenneth Hott (Doris), and Brian Hott (Amber); grandchildren, Michelle Burns, Andrea Fields (Ben), Bobby Leatherman (Heather), Tony Sanders (Kristie), Cherish Hott; great-grandchildren, Meagan Brianne (Scott), Autumn Burns (Devin), Gage and Sadie Fields, Briar and Bristol Leatherman, , Anthony and Makaila Sanders; great-great-grandchildren, Kinley Carter, Konnor Weasenforth, and Addison Weaver.

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 15205 McMullen Hwy SW, Cresaptown, MD, on Thursday, January 11, 2024, from 12pm to 2pm. A funeral service will immediately follow at 2pm with Pastor DJ Ritchey officiating. Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Anthony Sanders, Jimmy Hott, Bobby Leatherman, Ben Fields, Roy Weaver, and Dean Ullery.
