Pamela Marie (Briner) Layman, 69 , of Cumberland, MD, went home with her Heavenly Father on Friday, September 6, 2024, at UPMC, Western MD, surrounded by her family.

Born May 4, 1955, in Cumberland, MD, Ms. Layman was the daughter of the late Richard B. Briner and Helen M. (Logsdon) Briner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters; Angela L. Long, Cynthia A. Whittington, Dianna L. Smith, brother-in-laws, Rodney D. Long, Larry A. Lease, a niece, Angela L. Emerick, two great-nephews, Cameron Gibson & Nicholas Dickinson.

Pamela earned an Associate Arts Degree in Computer Science from Allegany College of MD and had many jobs, but what she loved was being a Mom and Nana to her grandchildren, great grandchildren and her precious doggies. Pamela also enjoyed making family & friends beautiful gifts using her needle point skills.

Pamela is survived by her sons, John T. Briner, Cumberland, MD, Jason M. Layman & wife, Cindy of Baltimore, MD, grandchildren, Tori & Brennen of GA, Mariah Pinto & husband, Tristen, Cumberland, MD & their children, Presley, Paxton, Posie & Paris; Kayla Briner, Frostburg, MD, Aaliyah Storer of LaVale, MD & Xavier Layman of Baltimore, MD; three sisters, Christina Lease, Keyser, WV, Patricia Emerick, Cumberland, MD, and Regina, Lease and husband, Jim, Barton, MD & two brother-in-law's, Rodger Whittington and Douglas Smith both from Cumberland, MD; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family wants to send out a special thank you to the Smith family, especially Doug & David Smith, who were always there when she needed them.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
