Patricia Ann Rhoten, 74, passed away peacefully after listening to her husband pray the Lord's Prayer at her home in Oldtown, MD.

She was born April 13, 1952, in Baltimore, MD to the late Frederick and Coretta Seward. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert and Edward Seward; two of her sisters, Donna Henderson and Shawnta Chew; a brother-in-law, Bill Widamyer; and a daughter-in-law.

Pat worked at the Maryland Cup Company in Baltimore as an inspector for 15 years. Her working there, she was reunited with her childhood friend, Leroy and whom she then married which lasted 43 years. After the Cup Company she became a Certified Nurse Assistant, which led to a career that she loved at the Carroll County Hospital.

Pat enjoyed taking care of the home, reading, and coloring books. She loved her small lap dogs and had a 5 over the years with her husband. After his retirement they moved to the mountains where she liked the fresh air, scenery, and quiet.

Surviving her is her husband, Leroy Eugene Rhoten; three children, Cheryl Jones-Vargas, Larry Jones Jr, and Michael Ray Jones; two sisters, Carolyn Williams (Richard) and Adele Widamyer; and two grandchildren, Alexander and Graven Vargas.

In accordance with her wishes she will be cremated and there will be no formal services.
