Obituary

Paul Allen Brown, 71, of Rawlings, passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at his home.

Born September 3, 1953, in Springfield, WV, he was the son of the late Paul Brown Sr. and Nina Boyer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Wills.

Paul was a lifelong musician, with a special love for playing the drums. After serving in the U.S. Army, he found fulfillment in working with his hands. He had a true passion for building and creating, always tinkering and inventing with whatever materials he could find. Whether fixing things, repurposing items, or designing something new, Paul was known for his creativity and resourcefulness, often crafting unique gifts for the people he cared about.

Paul's generosity and willingness to help others were at the core of who he was. He was always ready to lend a hand to a friend in need. In his younger years, he embraced the thrill of skydiving, and that adventurous spirit remained with him throughout his life.

He is survived by his daughter, Jorja Brown; his brother, Rodney Bible; and his sisters, Shirley Woods, Bonnie Ballard, and twins Sharon and Karen. His two dogs, Lala and Bella, will also deeply miss him.

In accordance with his wishes, Paul will be cremated.

Inurnment will take place at Maryland State Veterans Cemetery, Rocky Gap on Friday, January 31, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. Military honors will be accorded by the Fort Cumberland Post 13 Honor Guard.
