ECKHART Paul Erwin Fitzgerald, 81, of Eckhart, passed away on Monday, April 23, 2018, at home.Born on March 15, 1937, in Westernport, he was the son of the late Russell and Blanche Fitzgerald. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his siblings Linda, Junior, Bobby, and Skeety.Paul was a United States Veteran, and served in the Navy. While in the Navy, he worked on engines for blimps. Paul was an electrician by trade. He enjoyed working on cars, spending time at home with his family, and working around the house.Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Dora Fitzgerald; two daughters, Tammy Tinsley and special friend Melvyn Sines, and Debbie Moorehead and husband Rick; five sons, Kevin Fitzgerald and special friend Lisa Taylor, Mike Fitzgerald and wife Jennifer, Rusty Fitzgerald and wife Natalie, Andy Fitzgerald and special friend Beth Hardy, and Steve Fitzgerald; 16 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Janet Martin and Shirley Moore; and two brothers, Norman Fitzgerald and Richard Fitzgerald.The family will receive friends at the Scarpelli Funeral Home P.A., 15205 McMullen Highway SW, Cresaptown, on Friday, April 27, 2018 from 10 a.m. to noon.A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at noon.Interment will be in the Maryland State Veteran's Cemetery, Rocky Gap.Military Honors will be accorded by the Post 13 Honor Guard.Condolences for the family may be left at www.ScarpelliFH.com
