Cumberland, MD- Peggy Jean (Piper) Kidwell,77, of Cumberland passed away on Thursday April 4 at UPMC-Western MD.

Born July 7, 1946 she was the daughter of the late Eugene C and Evelyn R. (Kinser) Piper. She was also preceded in death by her husband Franklin Lane Kidwell,Sr.

Peggy was a housewife and enjoyed spending time with her 20 year old cat "Hemme". She loved crossword puzzles and watching TV. Most of all she enjoyed the time she spent with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving is her daughter Evelyn Kidwell and fiancé Mark Davis,Sr. and her son Franklin Kidwell,Jr. Four grandchildren Mark Davis,Jr. and wife Meghan, Michelle Kidwell, Bryan Kidwell and Bradley Kidwell. Five great grandchildren and her brother Eugene Thomas Piper.

Visitation will be on Tuesday April 9 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A. 108 Virginia Ave. Cumberland. And on Wednesday, April 10 from 10:00am until 11:00am. A funeral service will be at 11:00am with the Rev. Phillip Cheek officiating. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Eugene Porter, Billy Kinser, Russell Wolfe, Johnny Lavin, Bryan Kidwell and Brian Garlitts.

In honor of her memory, contributions may be made to the Kidwell family.
