Cumberland – Richard Lee Day, Jr., passed away on October 1, 2024 at his home.

Born February 15, 1958, he was the son of the late Richard Day, Sr. and Nina Helen (May) Day. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Barbara Smith and Debbie Stallings; nephew, Brian Smith; paternal grandparents, Lester and Daisy (Sirbaugh) Day.

Mr. Day retired from Sierra Hygiene. He was a past member of the Living Stone Church of the Brethren.

Mr. Day is survived by his wife of 15 years Sherry (Imes) Day; sisters, Wilma Padfield, Wannetta (Kenny) Huff; brother, Darryl Day; sons, Doug and David Riggleman; and grandchildren, Jasmine and Noah Riggleman.

In accordance with his wishes, he will be cremated and a private viewing will be held.

Interment will be in Glendale Cemetery, Flintstone, MD.
