CUMBERLAND – Richard Heinrich, age 75, passed away peacefully in his home on November 28, 2023.

Richard was born on September 4, 1948, in Chicago, IL. Richard was the son of Mosse and Ward Heinrich. He grew up with his two siblings, Ward Jr. and Gretchen in his beloved childhood home located in Cleveland, OH.

Richard graduated from Shaw High and then moved on to college at Babson University, graduating with a B.S. in Business Administration. After working in the accounting field for many years, Rick decided to follow his true passion in life – restoring classic automobiles. He imported many of his cars from Brazil. Among the many incredible cars he restored, the standouts were a 1923 Stutz Bearcat, 1932 Packard, and a Bugatti coupe. Richard's work was so impressive that he was recruited by famous London guitarist, Jeff Beck, to build him a classic hotrod.

Richard met the love of his life, Marge, in 1982 at Lancaster, PA's local haunt, the Village. His famous pick-up line to Marge was "What's the drinking age around here?" because he could not believe that Marge was 21. The two were married in 1986, and nine years later had their daughter, Holly. Richard also has a son named Gunnar who resides in Los Angeles, CA.

Aside from his extreme passion for cars, Richard was also obsessed with trains and even built a holiday train tree skirt called Holiday Hill, which was sold at major retailers in the 1990s.

Richard will always be remembered for his incredible sense of humor and the way that he was able to liven up any room with his captivating personality.

Richard is survived by his wife, Marge Heinrich; son, Gunnar Heinrich; daughter, Holly Dietz; son-in-law, Garrett Dietz; and his favorite rascally black cat, Dracula.

Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A. is entrusted with arrangements. In accordance with his wishes, Richard will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
