Greensboro, NC Mr. Richard Lawrence Schultz, 92, of Brighton Gardens, passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2018, at the Hospice Home at High Point.Born September 13, 1925, in Cumberland, MD, Richard was the son of the late John and Agnes Fredrich Schultz. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances Cavanaugh Schultz; brother, Robert Schultz; and two sisters, Lucille Speiser and Marie Whitacre.Richard was a World War II veteran, having served in the United States Navy. He lived in Kettering, OH while working for Monsanto. Upon retiring, Richard moved to Keowee Key, SC to enjoy golfing and warmer weather. He then moved to North Carolina to be closer to his daughter and her family.Survivors include two children, Cathy Lloyd and husband, Jeff, of Jamestown, and Edward Schultz and wife, Gina, of Hoschton, GA; four grandchildren, Mandy Umberger and husband, Larry, Kent Lloyd and wife, Missy, Amanda Harrison and husband, Josh, and Brandon Jefferson; and three great-grandchildren which he adored, Jay, Mary Catherine and Everett.Richard's celebration of life will be held onSaturday, September 1, 2018, at 3 p.m.in St. Mary's Cemetery, Cumberland, MD. Military Honors will be accorded by the Ft.
