CUMBERLAND – Rickie A. Flanagan, 72, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2020, at his home, with his wife and oldest grandsons by his side. He was the son of the late Richard Flanagan and Betty Turner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Peggy Davis; and grandson, Jamal Harris. Rickie was a Vietnam veteran, serving in the Army from 1968-1970. Rickie retired from WMHS in 2010 with 40 years of service, mostly at Sacred Heart Hospital. He was an avid fisherman and hunter who loved being outdoors. He took pride in being a "Pap," and loved each of his grandchildren, especially watching them play. Rickie was looking forward to seeing the newest great-grandbaby, due in December. Rickie is survived by his wife of 48 years, Debbie Flanagan; daughter Debra Flanagan; three grandchildren, Jordan Flanagan, Danae Flanagan, and Kenzie Flanagan; two great-grandchildren, Javion Williams and Rae'Lynn Jessie; brothers-in-law, Dave Davis, and Jerry Flanagan and wife Barbra Flanagan; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In accordance with his wishes, he will be cremated. The family will receive friends at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 15205 McMullen Hwy SW, Cresaptown, on Thursday, October 29, 2020, from 12 to 1 p.m. A memorial service will be conducted immediately following visitation at the funeral home at 1 p.m. Military honors will be accorded by the Fort Cumberland Post 13 Honor Guard.
