Obituary

Robert Wayne Beeman, 75, of Fort Ashby, WV, passed away, due to an accident on Saturday, September 5, 2026.

Born September 25, 1950, in Cumberland, MD, he was the son of the late Armand Lee Beeman and Mary Virginia Beeman-Wilburn. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Marie Elizabeth (Clites) Beeman; brother, Richard Lee Beeman; father-in-law, Clarence Ray Clites; sister-in-law, Cheri Clites; second wife, Linda Jeanette (Gomer) Beeman; and his step-father, Robert Carl Wilburn.

Robert graduated from Mount Savage High School in 1968. He served his country with the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Marie and Bob loved to travel to their condo in Nags Head, NC. Bob loved to tinker with cars and help anyone in need. During his son's growing up years Bob coached numerous baseball and softball teams. Bob worked for the Western Maryland Railroad, Chessie System, and CSX until his retirement.

Bob is survived by his son, Carl Ray Beeman; mother-in-law, Mildred Clites; sister-in-law, Lisa Louise Stoutmeyer (Dan); brother-in-law, Tim Clites (Kim); and special friend, Mary Ann Weaver.

Visitation will be Sunday, September 13, 2026 from 3:00 to 5:00pm at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Avenue, Cumberland, MD.

A funeral service will be held Monday, September 14, 2026 beginning at 11:00am with Pastor Steve Leydig officiating; there will be one hour of visitation prior to the service.

Bob will be laid beside his wife, Marie Elizabeth (Clites) Beeman, at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, LaVale, MD.

Military honors will be accorded by the VVA Chapter 172, Honor Guard.
