Robert (Sam) L Chamness of Jupiter, Fl, passed away Sunday, Dec 21, 2025. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on Oct 22,1951 to Martha Howard Lueck and Gerald Chamness. The Chamness family moved to Indiantown, Fl when Sam was about 7. There he was raised with his sister and 3 brothers.

Sam attended Martin County High School, and graduated class of 1969. After graduation he enlisted and was a Veteran of the Army Bomb Squad, an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Specialist.

Sam joined the Electricians Apprenticeship program in his early 20s and became a journeyman electrician and member of Electricians Local 323 of South Florida. He worked as an electrician until he was hired by Hillers Electrical Engineering in Boca Raton, FL. He retired from there in 2019.

Sam is survived by his wife Jo Saville Chamness and their 3 children, Christopher, Jennifer Kowaleski, and Randall Chamness and by a daughter, Amy Love, by his first wife, his sister Lynn Wilhoit, 2 brothers, James and Michael Chamness, 9 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Sam was preceded in death by his brother Steve Chamness.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Jupiter, Fl. He was loved by many. He will be missed.
