WALDORF – Robert Miller Hersh, 88, of Waldorf, MD, formerly of Temple Hills, MD and Onaga, KS, passed away on Monday, December 12, 2022, at Discovery Commons in California, MD.

Born on June 28, 1934, in Onaga, KS, he was the son of the late Howard Henry and Olga Kathryn (Miller) Hersh. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his wife, Janice Marie Hersh in February 2022.

In 1955, Robert met Jan, whom he married in 1956. Their son, Robert, was born in 1961.

He is survived by his son, Robert M. Hersh, Jr. (Karla); grandchildren, Robert Matthew Hersh (Amber), and Molly Hersh Rands (Tommy); nieces, Nancy Stafford (Steve), and Judy Wagner; and nephews, Royce Duckworth (Rhonda) and William Patch (Pam).

Funeral services will be conducted at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Avenue, Cumberland, on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at noon. Family and friends will be received at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Interment will be in Davis United Methodist Church Cemetery, Cumberland. Military honors will be accorded by the Fort Cumberland Post 13 honor guard.
