CUMBERLAND – Robert Joseph Logsdon, 77, of Cumberland, passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at home surrounded by his family.

Born March 15, 1947, in Cumberland, he was a son of the late Joseph Augustin and Mae Alice Logsdon.

Robert loved to walk his best pal, Jack. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, and a lifelong member of the Salvation Army. He was an auto mechanic for most of his life.

Robert is survived by his wife of 57 years, the love of his life, Linda (Garlitz) Logsdon; four children, Tammy Sullivan and husband, Brian, of Hagerstown, Lori Joy, of Cumberland, Robert Logsdon and wife, Heidi, of Cumberland, and William Logsdon and wife, Beverly, of Cumberland; brother, William Logsdon and wife, Judy, of Homewood Addition; six grandchildren, Cody, Trenton, Draven, Collin, Gabriel, Hunter; three great-grandchildren, Mckenzie, Madelynn, and Ava; as well as many nieces.

In accordance with his wishes, he will be cremated.

A graveside service will be held in the chapel at MD State Veterans Cemetery on Monday, October 7, 2024 at 2pm.

Military honors will be accorded by the Fort Cumberland Post 13 Honor Guard.
