Bedford – Robert Lloyd McCullough, 77, of Bedford, PA, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at his home.
Born September 7, 1946, in Cumberland, MD, he was the son of the late Joseph Lloyd and Mary (Trozzo) McCullough. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, JoAnn Michael (Donald), Mary Lou McGill (Alan); sisters-in-law, Jeannie Eaton, Henrietta Fagan (Edward), and Carole Lennox (Harry).
Robert was a 1964 graduate of Allegany High School. While in high school he joined the 265th U.S. Army Reserves. After graduation, he worked for 22 years as an overhead crane operator at CSXT Corp.
Robert was a member of Memorial Heights Baptist Church. He was also an Assistant Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 9 in Cresaptown. Robert was an avid hunter, who loved squirrel and deer hunting. He loved trips to the beach, antiquing and spending time with his family.
Robert is survived by his loving wife, Carlene (Beck) McCullough; son, Anthony Michael "Tony" McCullough; daughter, Jodi Lynn Biser (Richie); grandchildren, Kristen McCullough; Emily George (Nathan), Hannah Bierman (Dakota), Addy Pilcher (Titus), Benjamin and Molly Biser; great-grandchildren, Paxton, Luka, Lane, Dawson, Calum, Zoey, Levi, and another great-grandchild due in March; brother, Earl Eaton; sisters-in-law, Ruth Ann Loy and Nancy Alt (Charles Maynard). He is also survived by special nephew, Jerry Michael; special niece, Dana Peccon; and several additional nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Avenue, Cumberland on Sunday, February 25, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Memorial Heights Baptist Church, Oldtown Road, Cumberland, on Monday, February 26, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor D.J. Ritchey officiating. Friends will be received an hour prior to the service.
Interment will be in Hillcrest Burial Park.
